Sweethearts Dance

Tonight was the Sweetheart Dance.  Here is Jessica right before she went out the door.  She is one lucky girl; she has so many great "sisters" to come and share the fun doing hair and make-up.  Ashlee & Sarah came, as well as Laura and Meaghan (They did Meaghan's hair & make-up too).
Jessica picked out this dress - it is so pretty.  It's early "Bordello" style meets "Stand for Truth and Righteousness".  We added the sleeves.
Gordon's parents came to town this weekend and we had a wonderful time with them.  While Jessica was at the dance, everyone came over for an "Oh Heck" tournament and some baby-spoiling time.  Great Grandma Bird had quite a way of getting little lady Miriam to gurgle and coo.
She is two months old now and her personality is really coming out.  Her eyes are still blue; still waiting to see if they'll turn brown like her brothers.  While she looks a lot like her brother Cameron, she looks a lot like her mommy too.  And so petite......and all sugar and spice.

Sweet Jessica looks darling. I love the modest bordello look. Yay for sleeves! Roland and I were at the mall yesterday and saw store windows full of beautiful colored dresses - not a sleeve in sight! Not even wide straps. You are a good mom to help make jessica's dress more comfortable. And how cute is Miriam? CUTE!

Before we left I told Miriam she would get lots of attention! Since she has such a sweet disposition most of the time she can lose out to whichever of her brothers is being the "squeaky wheel".

I'm so happy that you have these precious girls in your life! Jessica and Miriam are both beautiful.
Your daughter-in-laws are also so choice! It's the best feeling to be surrounded by wonderful children and grandchildren, isn't it?

I think we both thought we would always be surrounded by boys - but the girls are coming, and it's sweet! By the way - I love the boys too!

Also, thanks for the birthday card. It was so kind of you Julie!

Jessica proves that modest is hottest! Pretty dress, beautiful girl. You know you've done a great job raising her when she makes good choices like that dress. Love those blue eyes on your baby Miriam! When do baby's eyes start changing color? (I've been out of that stage for so long I don't really remember.) She's adorable!
